Runner Gets Physical Therapy at Timberline

Elaina, a 7th Grade student at Cascade Middle School, Vancouver WA wins the 400M and 800M at the District Track Meet yesterday.  She is also part of a winning Relay Team that did not get to compete do to inclement weather. The only reason she was able to run the whole season was because of the Physical Therapy treatments she received from Zane at Timberline Physical Therapy.  She has suffered foot and ankle injuries this season and without treatment it would have kept her from competing this year.  She is looking forward to doing some Performance Conditioning with Zane in the future to get even better at her sport - running. Her plans are to continue running and get a college scholarship where she can compete and earn her way to a future Olympics.

Functional Capacity Evaluation: Provided By Timberline Physical Therapy

Timberline Physical Therapy is now offering Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE) or Physical Capacity Evaluations (PCE) for patients.
A FCE determines the physical abilities of workers after an injury.  It is used by Workman’s Comp and other agencies to find out if a worker has the same or lessened ability after an injury or accident.  Some abilities examined are:

  • Return-to-work and job-placement decisions
  • Disability evaluation
  • Determination of work function with non-work-related illness and injuries
  • Determination of function in non-occupational settings
  • Intervention and treatment planning
  • Case management and case closure

Timberline Physical Therapy is proud to offer these evaluations for thier patients.  For more information call or email the clinic.

Testimonial

Physical TherapistsI arrived at Zane’s office with incredible back and leg pains. Zane worked closely with me for over three months, switching to different techniques as my situation improved, including equipment for back treatments that I had never seen before at another Physical Therapy site I had been to. Zane carefully monitored my progress, provided me with great explanations to all of my questions, and I experienced an overall steady improvement until being fully discharged this past week. Oh yeah!
But I wouldn’t leave out that the staff is very helpful and pleasant. The interior is clean, carpeted, and nicely laid out. And some of my favorite music was playing overhead in the main room which I enjoyed when exercising on the various machines. For more private needs, there are a couple of patient rooms that I used in earlier stages of my treatment, that were also very clean and comfortable.
(… not to mention a very impressive emergency escape plan is hung on the wall!)
Best Regards,
Stewart Bresler
